Audrey’s baptism was beautiful.? It was a very special day and we feel very fortunate that we have so many family members and friends who came to support Audrey in this special time in her life.?A special thank you to her G.G. who bought her beautiful dress and shoes, she looked like an angel. (If I use the word “special” one more time, I think I’ll slap myself).

My friend Lucinda has coined the term “Gracie-ism” for all the wonderfully funny things my little girl says.? Among our recent favorites is during breakfast over Christmas break Gracie just popped out “I know who the Governor of Arizona is…. Janet Potolipano.”? Click here to watch.? She says things that make us giggle every day.? I had to share the latest two that still have me laughing.? About two weeks ago I came down with a cold that was very unpleasant and lasted too long.? One night, Gracie was logging on the computer and Marc’s wallpaper is our most recent family picture taken at Thanksgiving in Colorado’s pretty snow.? Gracie took one look at that picture and said to me, “mommy, you used to look like that.”? Sweet child, gotta love her.? Next, a couple nights ago Gracie came to me after already having been tucked in and?told me she needed her nails trimmed.? I helped her and then sent her back to bed.? On her way out of my room she looked at me and said “mommy, your tummy isn’t very big”.?? Sweet child, gotta love her.

Amidst the shocker that was the Super Bowl upset of the Patriots here in Arizona, there were more fireworks going on here with the Suns.? Shaquille O?Neal was traded to the Suns for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks.? Apparently, Miami was looking for a way to unload Shaq?s large contract and get younger.? Well they succeeded.
My first thoughts of this trade were, ?it would be a UA grad (GM Steve Kerr) that would get duped into this trade.?? But as I pondered this more, Shaq?s ego is looking for one more stroke and what better way than to have one more go especially against his old buddy Kobe.? Amare will be playing his true position at power forward and Shaq doesn?t need to be the primary weapon on this team.? Hell he doesn?t need to be 3rd.? Miami didn?t have much in the way of a supporting cast.? Not so with the Suns.? I?d say if he has one or two more runs in him yet, please make sure these runs line up with the playoffs.

Well, Gracie has been persistent with wiggling that loose tooth over the past few days and it paid off tonight.? We came home from dinner at Red Robin that Marc’s mom treated us to in celebration of the baby news and Gracie asked me if I would pull her tooth out.? Now, having been through several lost teeth with Audrey, I figured I would give it a couple tugs and Gracie would change her mind.? I was wrong.? She kept wanting me to try until the thread that I tied around it actually stayed put and I yanked hard enough to have a successful release.? She is so completely excited and is anxiously awaiting a visit from the tooth fairy tonight.? I have posted a picture here so you can see that Gracie does now look six officially!

So we went and bought me a bunch of clothes off the clearance rack and decided to stop off at the 
, because we have never layed on a Tempur-pedic mattress.
I have been having strange lower back issues lately as our bed is quite old and I’m not sleeping very well and I laid on the bed they have at the showroom and AHHHH!, it felt so good.? I wish we had the money yesterday to get it, because I am already looking forward to sleeping on it.
