I Love Spring

  • March 26, 2008 at 10:02 am

Being an Arizona girl, I have two favorite seasons, Fall and Spring.? I can never decide which I like most, but right now it is Spring.? The weather is absolutely gorgeous, the grass is green and the flowers smell beautiful (but not at my house because the only thing I can keep alive are children, no green thumb here).? Easter is also a bonus for Spring.? We had a lovely sacrament service on Easter Sunday.? Our choir sang beautifully, I don’t know why I can’t get over my stress before we sing.? I have been ward choir director for our two biggest Sundays already (Christmas and Easter), but for some reason, I think this is a calling that I will never be comfortable with.? With that said, now that it is over, I can just enjoy the rest of springtime before our cruel summer hits and my belly expands beyond recognition (more on that in a bit).? The pictures are of the children at Marc’s Grandma’s house for the annual Lara family Easter egg hunt.? We had fun watching the children find their treasures.? I became a bit reminiscent watching Audrey and thinking back to her first egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, I remember it quite vividly.? They grow up so fast!!? I also have to put up pictures of our family on Easter Sunday because we all look so fabulous (hee, hee)!

Alright, now that the egg hunts are over, we have begun our name hunt.? We found out on Monday that Baby Coria #4 is Baby Girl Coria!? My brother Daniel has already suggested Reba or Barbara Jean for the name.? He told me that he was going to write up a list on Saturday to give to me.? Our family always enjoys Daniel’s name suggestions for his nieces and nephews (he keeps us laughing or our eyes rolling).? Marc thinks we need another acronym to go along with ABC, GNC, and CDC.? I told him, I don’t think we’ll be able to come up with a fourth.? She might have to be her own acronym.?

A Handy Husband

Growing up with a father who fixed everything, I didn’t realize that some men don’t.? Having said that, it’s a good thing that I married a man who has been willing to learn how to do things around the house and smart enough to figure the things out that he didn’t know before hand.? Instead of spring cleaning lately (I’ll have to get to that after spring break when my house isn’t being ransacked by several children all hours of the day) we’ve been doing some well needed home improvements.? The list is very long, but we have made a great start.? We are in the process of upgrading the light fixtures in our home.? KUDOS to Marc for doing this in a timely manner without complaint (what a man).? I will post picture of the two new ones that Marc installed recently.? Also, the crazy mess you see is not the children at the beach, it is our children in our front yard (who needs San Diego?).? We have begun a relandscape of our front yard.? It will be nice to have a working sprinkler system with a non crooked brick walk up to the front door.? I hope it will not be too long before I can post the finished product for you all to see the fruits of our labor.? Again, thanks to Marc for learning how to install sprinklers and thanks to me and the children for moving brick.

Coria’s gone 80’s???

  • March 11, 2008 at 7:45 pm

Marc and I were invited to an 80’s party hosted by a couple in our ward.? It was pretty fun to see everyone dressed in their interpretation of that sweet decade.? Although I’m probably partial, I thought Marc’s was the best.? We played fun games that had reference to the 80’s with music, characters, people, and even had candy that came out in the 80’s.? As you may note from the photos, Marc and I went to our roots, Marc the punk and Ginger the prep.? It was all fun and games, but the eyeliner on Marc was a bit much for me to take in.
