Marc is 51! We celebrated by going out to eat at Torchy’s Tacos and had birthday pie. He loves a good French Silk. Last year, for his 50th, our girls and I got Marc a two ticket Sparky’s Pass for three ASU Football games. It was a fantastic season to have tickets and though he wasn’t sure about braving the crowds to go to any in person games, it ended up being a lot of fun. Last year also brought changes in our ward being unexpectedly dissolved, and Marc being released as Bishop of Ray 2nd Ward. Marc still likes smoking meat and we love that about him! He smokes our turkeys every Thanksgiving and they are delicious! Last January brought a fun work conference for Marc in Orlando where Audrey and I joined him. We did a couple days at Disney World and also went to the NASA Kennedy Space Center. It was a great trip. In February, a last minute opportunity for a mini mission reunion presented itself so Marc and I made a spontaneous weekend trip up to Utah for a dinner with his mission president and some old mission friends. It was so fun that we were able to go. Another trip to Utah in April, for our niece’s wedding and our family Cali trip in July were both great. Marc celebrated 22 years working for Maricopa County this year. He helped open a new Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at work this year and has had a hand in the implementation of the impressive technology involved in it. He’s loving his new commute as it is much closer to home. We love Daddio. His love for our family and our Father in Heaven is evident in his choices and actions. We are so grateful for the beautiful example of what a patriarch for our family should be and can’t wait to see what his next trip around the sun will look like.
