November 2025

Fall is in the air… and on the calendar! It is a busy, fun time of year when the summer heat is finally subsiding and the events to attend are ramping up.

Early November brought the Relief Society Holiday dinner where I had (along with other sisters in the ward) been invited to share my “gift” of tap dancing. I had spent the weeks leading up to it building a tap board, learning a holiday tap number, and A LOT of practicing. It has been years since I have tap danced and I knew it would take me some time to remember the steps. What I learned really quick was that my body could not do some of the more difficult steps it once did. I was happy though with the final product. A friend of mine (along with a few others) took video of my dance, and I received many compliments afterwards. It was FUN! I really love tap dancing and was grateful for the opportunity to renew my talents. With this opportunity, I thought it would be fun to have my sister, Deanna, learn the dance as well and for our family Christmas Eve talent show, we would surprise my mom with the dance. Because of this, I had to keep it a secret. Here is my performance at the ward RS Holiday Dinner.

My brother, Daniel, LOVES his birthday. Every year we have to have a family pre-birthday meeting to plan his party. This year the theme was New York Police Department. We had dinner, a cookie decorating contest, and to top it off, Marc had used AI to create a digital birthday card for Daniel-WHICH HE LOVED. Here are some pictures of our evening.

Happy 44th Birthday, Daniel!

Daniel watching his digital bday card over, and over, and over again, laughing and smiling SO BIG!

Sophia participated in a sacred music piano recital. We are so proud of Sophia for working hard to pick up with piano lessons where she left off years ago. She has grown in her abilities and I enjoy listening to her practice at home.

The Program

Erma came to visit this month and stayed until Graces birthday (Dec. 23rd). We love having her visit us. She was able to celebrate the season with us by attending many holiday events and of course our weekly temple dates.

Also in November, Carsons emails from the mission field were quiet, but I was able to get a screenshot of one of our weekly family video calls.

I was asked by a friend in a different stake to make temple sugar cookies for a primary event in their ward. I was happy to practice my decorating skills and was happy with how these turned out.

Of course, we ended the month with Thanksgiving. We host my family every year. I LOVE IT! Marc always makes the most delicious turkeys and Sophia is the greatest helper of the host! I couldn’t do it every year without their help. I love and appreciate them so much. This year we invited the missionaries serving in our ward, our primary president and her husband (Maddie and Ashton Wright), and a co-worker of mine (Alexis Maya). I believe a fun time was had by all. We played some fun games in our backyard, had a delicious meal on our back patio, and finished the night with our traditional movie watching. This year we saw the 2nd Wicked movie. Audrey and Grace stayed in Utah this year making their own feast and seeing the same movie as us!

Sophia wanted to take pictures of Marc picking us up.
Silliness. I was so worried Marc was going to pull a muscle. HAHA
Daniel came early to help get things ready. He put my sugar cookies in the basket.

To finish off November, here is a picture of a foggy morning. We do not get fog often, so it is pretty fun when we do.
