Happy Birthday Carson!!!

My boy turned 4 on Saturday, but was sick, so we postponed the celebration to Monday. Carson had fun with his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Audrey took the reign on the games and did a great job organizing and heading it up. There was pin the #1 on Thomas and a candy walk. She also helped with decorations. We had pizza, fruit, and a Thomas cake (please don’t look too close at the pictures). It was my first attempt at something this grandiose as to the way of cake making/decorating. I also learned that for me fondant is a fon don’t (thanks Sylvia for the wording). All in all, Carson loved it and that is what matters. I love my boy and feel so blessed that Heavenly Father sent me a son amongst all of my beautiful daughters. He balances us out (or at least tries). Carson was so cute as he was opening his gifts. After he opened each present he would say in such a sweet voice “oh, that’s so nice”. What a gracious little boy.

Orange and Pink

Audrey’s favorite color since she knew what color was has been orange. I love that. I find it so unique and refreshing that a little girl would love orange. Gracie’s favorite color has been pink for quite some time (and brown because it’s the color of chocolate- she’s no dummy). I love pink too and am very much a girly, pink girl. When the girls found out that Carson would be getting his own room, I told them they could choose what colors to paint their new “all girls room”. Of course, without question, orange and pink were decided on quite quickly. Yesterday was the big paint day and we had a fun time transforming thier new girl room. I love it and think it fits them perfectly. They couldn’t be more proud and they think their room is the most beautiful room ever. Just as it should be.

Boys And Their Wheels

Carson has a little buddy DeMar who’s grandparents live across the street from us. Carson looks forward to the days when DeMar comes to his Grandparents’ home to play. Usually they spend their time with DeMar on his Big Wheel and Carson on the tricycle. Although sometimes Carson takes his car or bike for a spin as well. As an early birthday present, DeMar presented Carson with his very own Big Wheel last week. What a generous gift! The boys have been having a great time taking their wheels for a spin! Thanks DeMar!!img_4128blogimg_4131blogimg_4133blogimg_4134blog

A Day for Dancing

What a day Thursday was. It started at the elementary school where Audrey and the rest of the 3rd grade performed dances that they had been working on for weeks with “Dancing Diane”. Each 3rd grade class perfromed a different type of dance. Audrey’s class did a swing dance and it was awesome! They were the only class that had the whole audience clapping to the beat the whole time! Audrey was superb (of course) and had her beautiful smile on from start to finish. They got to perform twice. One assembly in the morning and one in the afternoon. We were so happy that Daddy, Grandma, and GiGi were able to come and see her!

What a natural!

Thursday evening brought more dancing! Audrey and Gracie took a tap/jazz combo class at the community center and I was able to release my inner teenager and take an adult tap class (tap is my constant love). We all performed at a recital Thursday night. It was nice of Grandma, GiGi, Deanna, Valerie, Auntie Coco and Uncle Gene to come and support us. Of course, Marc, Carson, and Sophia were there as well. My girls did great! It was fun to see Audrey and Grace doing their cute Jazz dance together. They of course, were the best ones in the class!
Congrats Coria girls for a job well done!
